Guide to Putnam City West at No. 4 Edmond Santa Fe

by Jacob Unruh Published: October 10, 2013

When: 7 p.m., Thursday

Where: Wantland Stadium, UCO

Records: Putnam City West 2-3, 0-2 District 6A-4; Edmond Santa Fe 4-1, 2-0

Last week: Southmoore 62, PC West 13; Edmond Santa Fe 26, Mustang 14

Players to watch: PC West — Steven Stallings, QB. The junior is playing well, throwing for 15 touchdowns and rushing for two. He’ll have his hands full, though, with the improving Wolves’ defense.

Edmond Santa Fe — Michael Farmer, RB/DL. Farmer, who is No. 13 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30, is starting to look healthy and it’s showing on the field. Last week he made his presence known on the defensive end, where he could end up at the collegiate level.

Storylines: PC West — The Patriots were torched last week by an athletic Southmoore team. They’ll have their hands full with an even more athletic Santa Fe team, led by Oklahoma commitment Justice Hansen.

Edmond Santa Fe — How many points can the offense score? PC West has allowed 59 and 62 points in two district games. If the Wolves keep their foot on the accelerator, it could be a long night.

The pick: Edmond Santa Fe 49, PC West 21
