Gusty winds ahead in central Oklahoma Tuesday

High winds are expected in Oklahoma City Tuesday. Winds could gust up to 37 mph, the National Weather Service reports.

Dry, windy weather could increase fire danger Tuesday. Parts of southeastern Oklahoma are under a red flag warning for high fire danger.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92. Windy with a south wind 20 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Tuesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 70. South wind around 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 89. South wind 17 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 67. South, southeast wind 7 to 11 mph.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 8 a.m. Partly sunny with a high near 86. South wind 8 to 11 mph.
