A free festival featuring art, wine and music will be held Saturday and Sunday in downtown Guthrie.

In addition to the art show and sale, the Guthrie Escape 2012 festival will feature wine tasting from eight regional wineries, an assortment of specialties from local restaurants and live music.

Thirty-four artists will exhibit works including oils, sculpture, pottery, glass, wood, metal, fiber and mixed media. Handcrafted jewelry along with an assortment of ethnic and Native American art also will be available.

This year's children's area will provide interactive and instructional art projects as well as a youth arts exhibit. Downtown shops and galleries will be open so visitors can browse the festival booths, shop throughout the day and enjoy live art demonstrations from glassblowing to drawing and pottery.
