— The driver of a pickup truck that collided head-on when a vehicle crossed into his lane was in serious condition Friday night. Kyle McGehee, 35, of Norman was taken to OU Medical Center.

The driver of the other car died at the scene.

Trooper Betsy Randolph said Aimee Pando, 36, of Guthrie, was traveling north on State Highway 74 when her vehicle left the roadway, overcorrected and crossed over into the southbound lane where it collided head-on with McGehee.

An unnamed passenger in Pando's car also died at the scene. An infant boy in the car, Able Pando, 1, of Guthrie, was taken to The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center for precautionary reasons and later released.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol closed northbound traffic on State Highway 74 at Charter Oak and southbound traffic at Simpson Road on Friday because of the accident, which happened about 3:20 p.m.
