FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Didier Ya Konan scored twice to help Hannover climb to third place in the Bundesliga with a 4-1 win over Nuremberg on Wednesday.
Hamburger SV was denied its second straight win when 10-man Borussia Moenchengladbach snatched a goal in injury time to earn a 2-2 draw at home.
Stuttgart went down 3-0 at home to Hoffenheim, and Augsburg lost 3-1 at home to Bayer Leverkusen. Freiburg also lost at home, going down 2-1 to Werder Bremen.
Bayern Munich, a 3-0 winner over Wolfsburg on Tuesday, leads the standings with a perfect record of five wins from five games and 15 points.
Eintracht Frankfurt is second, two points behind after holding defending champion Borussia Dortmund to a 3-3 draw on Tuesday. Hannover is five points behind, ahead of Schalke on goal difference.
Ya Konan scored his goals early in the second half after first-half strikes from Lars Stindl and Szabolcs Huszti. Timothy Chandler scored a consolation goal for Nuremberg.
Nuremberg defender Per Nilsson gave away two of Hannover's goals, losing possession near his penalty area before Huszti's goal and Ya Konan's second. Huszti had a role in two other goals for Hannover.
Rafael van der Vaart scored his first goal since returning to Hamburg but failed to convert a penalty in the 53rd minute, hitting the post.
Alvaro Dominguez headed in the equalizer from Juan Arango's cross in injury time to notch the point for Moenchengladbach.
