3C Throughout the years, it’s been a common occurrence for Oklahoma State students to camp out in hopes of getting a front-row seat for an upcoming game.
For a
basketball game.
But over the last few seasons, tents have regularly been seen in what has become known as "Gundyville,” where
OSU students wait for the opportunity to get an ideal seat inside
Boone Pickens Stadium.
"There’s been quite a bit of that this year,” said OSU head coach
Mike Gundy, whose No. 11 Cowboys host No. 2
Oklahoma at 7 p.m. Saturday on ABC (Cox 8) in search of their 10th victory. "We’ve actually gone out and talked to them and thanked them.”
School officials shut down "Gundyville” for the holiday, giving students a number to hold their place in line, so they wouldn’t have to spend Thanksgiving in a tent.
But this was one of the better Gundyville turnouts, with 32 tents and 305 students camping out southwest of the stadium over the weekend, hoping for a front-row seat to see what might be the biggest Bedlam game ever held in Stillwater.
Gundy sees the tents as another sign of progress for the OSU football program.
"It’s not been that way before,” he said. "I think there’s a lot of pride. Things are changing now. I think the players feel it. I know the coaches do.
"The fans and students are more involved. It’s just another step in the right direction.”

Born in Okla., Graduated from OU, have not missed a broadcast or in person game since prior to 1968...Glad this is your classification of bandwagon fan. Maybe you will be so lucky to be a bandwagon fan once you can afford a Radioflyer...

If we "OUBandwangon fans" had anything to be jealous of (Not the campus, not the education, not the location, not the national recognition, not the bragging rights...still trying to figure out of what...hummm) then your point would make sense. Must be the sheer enjoyment of poke'n cows.
WTF is Ruby??? You should take your ADD meds, and perhaps you won't overlook that "g" in the future. Hey, wait a minute, maybe football is for you after all.
Neel, back at it again...Remember it is OSU Cowboys not pokes. lamo. A poke is what happens when pay for it, buy a OSU degree (the pig) unseen (the Poke) or what one says when you have to buy season tickets to go to one game...(better that an poke in the eye with a stick).
It is no longer this way because OSU has made the commitment to join the club. I hope the fan support continues to grow at OSU. Good luck & continued success
