Prescription drug abuse has been called Oklahoma’s fastest growing drug problem.

In Oklahoma, more overdose deaths involve hydrocodone than methamphetamines, heroin and cocaine combined.

Oklahoma has the fifth highest drug overdose death rate in the United States, and the number of drug overdose deaths, a majority of which are from prescription drugs, in Oklahoma tripled since 1999, according this report.

The Oklahoman is working on a project about prescription drug abuse, and we welcome your feedback in the form below.
