Benson, the Hawks' second-round pick from Oakland University in 2011, was released last season and signed a 10-day contract with Golden State. He played in three games with the Warriors last season before re-signing with Atlanta as a free agent.

Muhammad, a forward from Georgia Tech, signed with the Hawks as a free agent on Oct. 1.
