Haworth man dies in ATV crash
A Haworth man died after an all-terrain vehicle crash Thursday a mile south and two miles east of Haworth, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. Richard Dewayne Davis, 45, was pronounced dead at an Idabel hospital from head injuries suffered about 8:40 p.m. in an accident on a county road. Passenger Rodney Wayne Jeffrey, 45, of Haworth, suffered head and leg injuries, and was taken to an Idabel hospital, the patrol said. Davis was driving the vehicle north on a dirt road at an unsafe speed when he lost control. Both men were ejected. They were not using safety equipment, the patrol said.
