STILLWATER — A hearing is scheduled in Stillwater for a former Oklahoma State University student charged sexual battery of fellow students.

Nathan Cochran is due in Payne County District Court Monday morning in the case that alleges he molested other students as they slept in dorm rooms.

OSU officials were criticized for not notifying police when they learned of the allegations in November. Stillwater police say they first learned of the allegations in December when contacted by the OSU student newspaper.
The Board of Regents that oversees OSU voted Friday to adopt recommendations from a task force that examined OSU's response to the allegations. The recommendations include that officials at every school under the OSU system promptly notify authorities of any allegations of sexual assault.
