Heartland Council of the Blind's Calendar of Events

MARCH 9, 2013, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am - Heartland Council of the Blind's FLAPJACK FUNDRAISER at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar, 4825 NW Expressway,  Oklahoma City, OK 73132 .  Please come join us for food, fun and a door prize drawing. Tickets are $7.00 each and can be purchased on our websitewww.hcbokc.org , by Phone 405.650.4912,  or at the door. 


MAY 18, 2013, beginning at 5:30 pm - Heartland Council of the Blind's education, awareness and fundraising event, DINING IN THE DARK. During the reception, there will be a silent auction, exhibits of adaptive aids used by the blind and visually impaired, challenge stations for guests to walk with a cane through an obstacle course, put a key in a lock, etc while blindfolded. Eat dinner blindfolded.  Keynote speakers are the producer and one of the blind chef's from the TV show, Cooking without Looking.  LOTS OF FUN, GOOD FOOD.  Tickets must be purchased prior to May 13, 2013 so the Chef can prepare the proper amount of meals.  Tickets can be purchased on our websitewww.hcbokc.org , by Phone 405.650.4912, or from members of the Heartland Council of the Blind.  Contact the President of Heartland Council of the Blind, Sandi Webster, 405.722.8749 or sandi.webster@cox.net  for more information.
