MUSKOGEE — Officials say three football players at Bacone College fell ill Wednesday while running in the heat.

The school says members of the team were running Wednesday afternoon when temperatures topped 100 degrees. The school says the team immediately suspended practice after the students fell ill.

A spokeswoman for Muskogee County Emergency Medical Service says two of the students refused medical treatment and the third student was taken to a hospital. His condition wasn't immediately available.

The school tells a local newspaper the athletic department is now reviewing its policy on practices in hot weather.

The Warriors play at Langston on Saturday.
