SAN ANTONIO (AP) — They won 27 straight games during the regular season. They won 12 straight in April. They had a pair of standalone six-game winning streaks in the regular season, and a five-game run earlier in these playoffs.

But for the last few weeks, putting together a winning streak of any length has been too daunting for the Miami Heat.

And if that doesn't change, the Heat won't be repeating as NBA champions.

The Heat won Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against Indiana, lost Game 2 of that series and the win-one, lose-one trend has continued now for 11 straight games. If that form holds, that means it's San Antonio's turn to win again when the NBA Finals resume with Game 5 on Sunday night.

The Heat say it's time to break that cycle.
