Heavy snow misses Oklahoma City
Before the Friday night’s spring snowstorm made its way to the Oklahoma City area, meteorologists predicted central Oklahoma residents would awaken to 3 to 10 inches of snow.

That didn’t happen.
"Depending on where you live in the metro, there was probably no more than an inch of snow and in some places not even that much,” National Weather Service meteorologist Ty Judd said.
The reason, Judd said, is because the storm system took an unpredicted turn north. Forecasters initially predicted the system would continue farther east before it started climbing north, he said.
"It changed course sooner than we expected, and that eliminated the predicted central Oklahoma accumulations,” Judd said.
