Centennial Celebration, Easter Egg Hunt, Evening of the Arts, Spring Tea,

CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

Occasion: Members of Beta Theta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, celebrated during a Centennial Celebration weekend. Pledge class decade parties were held Friday at local restaurants.

Saturday lunch: At the luncheon active and alumnae members met for chapter updates. Among the speakers was Annie Tucker, 2011 pledge class. The Pickers, the active members a cappella group, sang Kappa songs.

Saturday night: There was a steak dinner and dance that evening and Dave and the Wavetones performed classic songs from several decades. Current chapter president Ashtin Evans talked about the sorority chapter’s activities. Irises, the official sorority flower, decorated the ballroom at the Embassy Suites.

THE GREAT EGG HUNT

Event: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club members had breakfast with their children and grandchildren and then the young people participated in the traditional egg hunt. Age groups were toddler, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-11 years old.

Other activities: The children also decorated eggs, had their faces painted for Easter, played games and enjoyed the petting zoo.

CAMPUS ARTS CELEBRATION

Picnic: Casady School celebrated the arts on the school campus with a picnic recently. “Evening of the Arts” showcased performing and visual art talents of the students.

Art venues: Those who attended moved around the campus to different venues for orchestra, choir and theater performances by students of all ages. Also featured were artwork, sculpture and photography.
