WEAR YOUR CHRISTMAS SWEATER
Occasion: Marylee Strange was hostess for the annual Tri Delta Christmas party. She and daughters Juliann and Katylee Strange cooked the main dinner course and appetizers and guests brought salad, brownies and bread. Kacey Luster and Marsha Tygret coordinated the party and food.
Old Christmas sweaters: Guests came dressed in cute old Christmas sweaters, fun Christmas earrings, Christmas scarves and Christmas jewelry. Melinda Compton fashioned a skirt out of an old Christmas tree skirt.
At the party: Guests included Joyce Moran, Linda Lowe, Jennyfer Guebert, Claire Robinson, Ann McBride, Courtney Greer, Ashley Simpson, Brooke Powell, Nancy Harwell, Lisa Synar, Sharyl Thompson, Amy Daugherty, Sandi Mitchell, Beth Brown, Leslie Baumert, Sarah Wells, Lauren Quick, Melanie Russell and Rachel Bradley.
Dinner/dance: The Seventy Five Club celebrated the season with the holiday dinner and dance at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
New members: Club president Lee Bollinger introduced the new members. They are John Harris, Don Kaspereit, Mike Kirschner, Jim Lowe, Johnny McCharen, Ron McCord, John Morris, Frank Olney, Fred Schonwald Jr., and Steve Sullivan.
Menu/music: Filet mignon, twice-baked potatoes and brandy ices were on the menu. Dave and the Wavetones played for dancing.
CHRISTMAS CHEER 2013
Ladies party: Judy Love, Barbara Brou and Susan Johnston celebrated the holidays with their annual party in the Love home. One hundred fifty women drove through ice, snow and road blockages to get to the event.
Food/decor: A variety of hors d'oeuvres were served, but the homemade fudge was the hit of the party. The buffet table featured a gold cloth and religious figures, including the three wise men, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. The rest of the house was filled with the Love's large collection of Santas.
Guests: At the party were Brenda McDaniel, Gennie Johnson, Ann Johnstone, Joan Maguire, Pam Smith, Vicki Gourley, Sharon Tonseth, Sally Holman, Linda Bradley, Lil Ross, Sherry Rhodes, Beverly Funke, Polly Nichols, Gov. Mary Fallin and Tricia Everest.

Boar's head dinner: The annual Boar's Head Christmas Party was given by Oklahoma City University President Robert Henry and his wife, Jan Henry, at Wilson House. The menu featured festive posole created by Robert Henry and desserts of carrot cake, brownies, and all made from Henry recipes. Boar did not make the menu this year, but a giant turkey was served.
