Table/menu: There were tall white azalea topiaries and lots of silver and white decorations. Champagne was served along with chicken skewers and lollipop cupcakes.

Guests: Jamie Gaddis, Hedra Merson, Amy Spring, Dede Benham, Annie Bohanon, Linda Horn, Jeanne Blair, Donna Nigh, Linda Rodgers, SoRelle Fitzgerald, Kirk Hammons, Linda Garrett, Sherry Knight, Vickie Dennis, Sherry Bennett, Barbara Dahnke, Kitty Champlin and Barbara Kerrick.

PREVIEW PARTY FOR REGINA

Event: A private preview party honored Regina Murphy. The event was co-hosted by Patty Murphy Newman and Joy Reed Belt at JRB Art at the Elms.

Tables: Arrangements of ginger, birds of paradise and other tropical flowers matched the colors of the artist's paintings.

The crowd: At the event were Mikie Metcalfe, Judy Courtney, Amy and Gregory Metcalfe, Joyce Stewart, Alyce and Ron Page, Suzanne Sylvester, Helen Dailey, George Oswalt, Betty and Norris Price, Kaye Adams, John Wolfe, Thomas Batista, Rudy Ellis and Carolyn and Richard Howell and Elaine and Frank Parker.

LAKEHURST HOLIDAY EVENTS

Cocktail party: Susan and Carl Edwards were hosts for the Christmas party following the Lakehurst Neighborhood Home Tours. Four homes were on the tour, ending with the Edwards home

Decorations: At the Edwards home everything was decorated for the holidays, including bookshelves and mantles. There was a Santa Claus area and a table filled with snow globes. The trees were decorated with traditional family ornaments collected through the years.

Guests: 70 people of all ages attended the party, including Bette and Jim MacKellar, Allen Staples, Shannon Love, Cacki Shelley, Leah Strickland, Shirley and Mike Kirschner, Leann and Paul Lienhard, Kathy and Steve Potts, Cathy and Karl Springer and Susan Moorman.

CHILDRENS PARTY

Who: The Kiwanis Club of Oklahoma City hosted a children's Christmas party for children from Rancho Village, Andrew Johnson, Martin Luther King Jr. and Ridge View elementary schools.

What: The party featured Santa, Chester the Clown and Santa's elves.

Where: Andrew Johnson School.

Why: The Kiwanis Club has had the children's party since 1919, so designated children could have a party with gifts, stockings, cake and ice cream.

How: Downtown Kiwanians fund the party through donations to the club's Special Activity Fund.
