Tradition: Neighbors on Camden Way in Nichols Hills met for the traditional Christmas party in the home of Linda and Steve Slawson.

Christmas decor: The buffet table was decorated with the Slawson collection of gold, silver and white nutcrackers surrounding a centerpiece of fresh Christmas greenery with white amaryllis, roses and hydrangeas. Tiny bud vases of white roses and greenery were set around the house.

Menu: Guests enjoyed an assortment of hors d’oeuvres including quail, salmon and shrimp, and ten decadent desserts.


Christmas dinner: Susan Chambers was hostess for the Tri Delta Alumni Christmas party. She served dinner and her husband, Kyle Toal, made ice cream drinks for dessert. Nina Baker coordinated the event.

Speaker: Emily Blanding, a University of Oklahoma Tri Delta, talked about the group’s national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Attending: Jennifer Nelson, Jackie Jones, Virginia Robertson, Mary Lee Smiser, Cindy Hazelwood, Lisa Synar, Lindsay Palaima, Melanie Russell and Wendy Simpson.


Who: Kanela Huff entertained at her annual Christmas event in her Waterford office. It was decorated with white orchids, and white and red poinsettias.

Special table: For dessert, there was a table with many varieties of candy in various containers. Kyle’s 1025 Restaurant catered the dinner.
