Theme: Red, a color used in the AWC signature logo, was the theme for the evening and red heart and red freedom roses were used in the centerpieces.

Seen: Among the people at the event were Denise Northrup, Terry Neese, Sue Hale, Bobbie Burbridge Lane, Reta Strubhar, Patricia McGuigan, Linda Haneborg, Polly Nichols, Kay Goebel and Andy Reiger.

CELEBRATION EVOO

Occasion: Olive Oil & Co. and co-founders Maggie Kite and Rane Peterson celebrated the first anniversary of the company at their store.

Food/flowers: Champagne was served along with hors d’oeuvres showcasing the fresh Northern Hemisphere olive harvest of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). Hydrangeas and orchids were set throughout the store.

Evoo: The olives were crushed for their oils last year between October and November. They were from Spain and California, and names of the five oils are Melgarejo, Organic Picual, Organic Koroneiki, Arbequina and Melgarejo Hojiblanca. The owners also introduced their new fused rosemary olive oil at the party. They noted the difference between fused and infused oils: the rosemary was crushed with olives at the time of crush and with the infused oil, flavors were added after the olives were crushed.

Entertainment: The Charles Scot Duo entertained the crowd, which included Sherry Furseth, Melisssa Burget, Emily and Jeff Blake, Amy Lambert and Brock Harrison.
