Engaged: When Martin Howell proposed marriage to Amanda Priest in the home of his dad, Dr. Joe Howell, his longtime friends Genevieve and Brendon Quick and Laura Dillard arranged for a surprise engagement dinner for the two of them at 7 p.m. She accepted his proposal, and after dinner other guests, including lifelong Casady School and University of Oklahoma friends, arrived at 9 p.m. for a congratulatory party.

Guests: Among the guests were Diane and Jim Priest, Karen and Rich McLain, Adelaide and Bill Liedtke Tina and Elby Beal, Addison Johnston, Mary Dexter, Ali Abedi, Andrew Farha, Brandon Watson, Jana and Gary Boerger, Leigh and Nick Bentley, Adelaide Smith, Sarah and Robbie Highsaw, Brett Gwartney, Candica Pugh, Josh Brown, Pack Brown, Chris Beal, Deborah and Stephen Gray, Stuart McLain, Emily Guerin, John Powell Walker, Rachel Uraneck, Lauren Ottway, Lindsey Parke, Mia and Lee Bockus and Erin and August Hadwiger.


Dance: Members of the Registry Inc., a group of single women and men, all over the age of 40 and college graduates, met at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club for a dance. There were 88 members there for the black-tie event. Theme was “Smiling Irish Eyes.”
