HONORING MARY AND ADDISON
Couple's shower: Tina, Elby and Chris Beal were hosts for a couple's shower and barbecue dinner in the Beal home. The party was for Mary Dexter and Addison Johnston who will be married this month in Ardmore.
Menu: The meal included barbecued brisket sliders, sausages, deviled eggs, baked beans and corn pudding. Desserts included lemon cake bites, apple and cherry mini-tarts, personalized cookies and cupcakes with the couple's initials and chocolate chip cookies.
Flowers: Wildflowers in Ball jars were wrapped in burlap and lace and red and blue bandannas and burlap table runners were on the tables. Strands of twinkling lights decorated the patio.

SHOW HOUSE EVENING
Party: Jose Freede and daughters Cathy Freede and Margaret Owens were hostesses for a recent Symphony Show House Evening at “The Trio in the Abbey.” They were in The Contemporary House in The Abbey Cafe where a tent was set up, complete with chandeliers.
Flowers: Bouquets of blue iris, yellow and orange roses and white hydrangeas decorated the tables and tall vases with the same flowers plus calla lilies were on the buffet table where tenderloin and shrimp were served. A separate table included various desserts such as chocolate mousse, tarts and cake.

READY FOR THE FOLLIES
Event: Chairmen for the Oklahoma Senior Follies met in the home of Carol Sander. They discussed the dates of the Follies, June 14-16, and the fact that tickets are already on sale at the Oklahoma City University Box Office and online on the Follies website. Plans were made for the next report meeting.
CHECKING OUT THE ARTWORK
Dinner: Al Moorad was host for a dinner in his Gaillardia home. It was catered by Richie's Grill.
New art: Art dealers Eugene Schuster and Mich and Mark Bronson were in town. They brought a Karel Appel painting for Moorad and talked about the late artist, founder of the Avant-garde movement in Europe.

MEET TODD REED
Party: Valerie and Brad Naifeh were hosts for a dinner honoring jewelry designer Todd Reed. He was in town for a two-day show at Naifeh Fine Jewelry. His jewelry features diamonds and recycled metals.
Dinner: Dinner was set up in the outdoor kitchen, and a seated dinner was served on the backyard patio overlooking the swimming pool. Beef tenderloin with roasted mushrooms and onion and halibut with tomato ginger vinaigrette were served, along with key lime tart for dessert. Tables were covered with ivory linen cloths with dark brown napkins and chair cushions. Flowers on the dinner tables were bouquets of blue hydrangeas and pink calla lilies with yellow and green exotic touches.

DANCING THE SALSA
Dance: Virginia Leavitt and her dance instructor, Gene Thomas, performed a salsa dance routine during the Joie De Vie Dance Club spring event at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
History: The Club was formed in 1906. There are four formal dinner dances during the year and one informal summer dance. Rich Rodgers is president.
