CASSIE AND DEVON
Event: Sue Ann and Dudley Hyde were hosts for a party honoring their son and his wife, Cassie and Devon Hyde, from Tulsa, at Cafe Do Brazil Event Center. The couple was married March 9 in Las Vegas. The invitation stated that “Cassie and Devon said ‘Si’” and Sue Ann and Dudley say “Ole!” Dress attire was “Carnaval Casual.” Guests were longtime friends of Devon Hyde.
Entertainment/menu: Everyone learned to dance the samba after a black rice paella dinner. Dessert was the house special famous passion fruit chocolate mousse with heart sparklers for the newlyweds. Bob Benham’s birthday was that night so he also got a heart sparkler.

2014 HALL OF FAMERS ANNOUNCED
Announcement luncheon: The Oklahoma Heritage Association and Gaylord-Pickens Museum members were hosts for a luncheon at which the official announcement of the 2014 Oklahoma Hall of Fame honorees was announced. The seven Oklahomans will be formally inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame on Nov. 13 at the Cox Convention Center. The event was at the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum. Past Oklahoma Hall of Fame inductees were invited guests.
2014 honorees: Named as inductees are Harold T. Holden, Kremlin; Wanda Jackson, Maud; Neal McCaleb, Oklahoma City; Thomas H. McCasland, Duncan; Blake Shelton, Ada; Peggy Clark Stephenson, Antlers, and Alfre Woodard, Tulsa.
Program: Shannon Rich gave the welcome and Lee R. West presented the new class of honorees. Melissa Griffith sang the national anthem.

LOTUS DANCE CLUB
Dance: Lotus Club members met at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club for the spring dance. Bud Meade is president of the group.
Band/decorations/menu: The Burton Band played and tables had spring flower centerpieces set on seafoam green tablecloths. Sliced beef tenderloin was served.

JLOC PAST PRESIDENTS
Who/where: Junior League Past Presidents met for the annual luncheon at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Cristi Hooper Reiger, immediate past president, was hostess.
Why: At the meeting there were reports on community impact and the group learned about the launching of the new five-year focus area of health. It also toured “The Secret Garden,” the first installment of the Myriad Gardens “Bringing Books To Life” series, which received part of the league’s community gift last year.
