HOLIDAY PREVIEW PARTY
Party: Junior League members were hostesses for the annual Preview Party, featuring private holiday shopping prior to the opening of Mistletoe Market. The party was at the Cox Convention Center and included a silent auction and music by Born in November featuring C+. Guests who arrived early received special swag bags as party favors.
Decorations: Holiday decorations of Christmas trees, hanging ornaments and packages were featured.

Kristen Brown is Junior League president.
HONORING LINDSEY AND SEAN
Event: A couple's wedding shower honored Lindsey Drake and Sean Cowie recently in the home of Casey and Rainey Williams. Co-hosts were Kathy and Hal Brown, Kelly and Kevin Krahl, Aleda and Mike McCoy, Debi and Chris Meyers, Mary Kay and Bobby Samis, Marion and Craig Story. The couple will be married in December.
Flowers: Purple orchids decorated the tables.
Game: Both sets of parents, Susan and Ramsey Drake and Kathleen and James Cowie, and the engaged couple, played a newlywed game.
Music: Justin Echols played a medley and jazz and blues throughout the evening. The party crowd also had karaoke music with DJs.
Seen: Carole Drake, Shirley and Pete Everest, Liz and Kent Hoffman, Cindy and John Heatley, Patty and Tom Anthony, Kelsey and Blake Renegar, Karen and Mike Samis, Susan and Steve Esco, Bart Shelly and Julie Martin were at the party.
Occasion: The Twilight Tour cocktail party and dinner was at the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum and it kicked off the annual Heritage Hills Historic Home Tour. Guests also got a preview of the tour homes. The event was to raise awareness of and to support historic preservation.
Theme: “Gatsby in the Garden” was the theme for the cocktail party and “Gala in the Great Hall” was the theme for dinner. Many guests dressed in jazz-age inspired clothes and linen-draped tables were decorated with silver candelabras and camellias. Partygoers posed beside vintage cars.
Chairmen: Cherish Ralls was Twilight tour chairman, and Marcy Davis and Blaire Schnebel were co-chairmen.
Drinks: Champagne, mixed drinks and Prohibition-era cocktails were served, along with Roaring 20s-inspired hors d'oeuvres for the cocktail party.
Special viewing: Guests who were residents and supporters of the Heritage Hill Historic District at the dinner saw the new design plan and landscape rendering for Overholser Mansion.
Dinner: An all-American barbecue honored U.S. Navy Cmdr. John-Paul Ayubi, who recently returned home from a Middle East deployment with the Navy. Jonette Ayubi, his wife, organized the party to welcome him home and to thank family and friends for their support during the time he was gone.
Decorations: Navy-themed blue and gold decorations were all over the house, and a photo booth was set up.
Guests: Among those at the party were Janna and Bryan Weathers, Beth and Kevin Nix, Michele Jackson, Caroline and Mark Humphries, Zack Kraeger, Carlie Pearson, Lillie-Beth Brinkman, Janna and Michael Leach, Keri Strunk, Kim and Brad Shirley, Alyssa and Kris Hart.
Dinner: Members of Leadership Oklahoma were hosts for dinner at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel. The Distinguished Leader Award was given to Rhonda Hooper, and there was a live auction. The event followed the fall forum.
Food/flowers: On the menu was short ribs, smoked cheddar potato cake, and chocolate bourbon whip with chocolate, salty caramel and toasted almonds. Table decorations featured pumpkins with flowers inside, fall leaves and decorative pumpkins and canned foods wrapped in jute for the Regional Food Bank. Table numbers highlighted communities represented by LOK members and had facts about that particular community.
Forum: The forum that afternoon featured Greg Link, author of “Smart Trust,” co-founder and senior vice president of the Covey Leadership Center. There was a panel session with Link as moderator and panel members were Mick Cornett, Stan Hupfeld, Bill Pink, Brian McClain and Marnie Taylor.
Occasion: Friends of Oklahoma City University celebrated a Starry Night Soiree recently at the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum. The event included updates from OCU students and President Robert Henry and musical entertainment by OCU Bass School of Music students. Wine from Joullian Vineyards was featured, courtesy of Dick and Jeanette Sias.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEGGY
Birthday celebration: Peggy Boyles celebrated her 65th birthday at Lake Como, Italy, with friends from Oklahoma City. After the birthday event, the group went to Madrid, Spain.
