Menu: The menu consisted of some of Edith's favorite foods, which included stone crab, shrimp, caviar, lamb chops, filet of beef, cheese grits, asparagus and carrots. Green salad followed the entree and dessert was miniature strawberry shortcake and chocolate cakes. Flowers and candles decorated the tables. Party favors were two books: “Franklin and Eleanor,” by Hazel Rowley, (Edith covered Eleanor Roosevelt for the AP during World War II) and “Prairie City,” by Angie Debo (about small-town Oklahoma).
