Event: The Mary Nichols' Family Leadership Center was the scene for the Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma's ribbon cutting and open house.

Details: The ceremony speakers included Shannon Evers, Linda Whittington, Polly and Larry Nichols and Mary Nichols. Mary Nichols told about her days as a Girl Scout leader and her experience of going to Girl Scout Camp last year for a day. Polly talked about the great community people helping with the scout campaign, and Larry said, “Any project that makes my wife happy, honors my mother and helps a great organization in the community is an easy decision” (to support).

Food/flowers: Susie Booth provided food, including mushroom caps, Mexican cheesecake, pecan delights. Gerbera daisies in glass vases were on the tables.

Special guests: Karen and Rob Luke, Ann-Clore and Walt Duncan, Joan Maguire, Alice and Dr. Ken Whittington, Tracy Alford, LaDonna Meinders, Gene Rainbolt, Teresa Rose, Wendi Schuur, Dr. Gabriel Pardo, Rusty LaForge, Susan Hardy-Brooks, Annie Bohanon, Mike Turpen, Kyle Essmiller, Nancy Anthony, Dr. Kay Goebel, Holly Healey, Tom Brett, Sally Starling, Crystal Slater and Susan Bohl.


Appreciation event: Leadership Circle members and major donors of Casady School were honored with an event held in the home of Katie and Tony Say. 160 guests attended.

Giving back: The party was for donors who give at least $1,000 to the school annually.


Ready for fall: The Oklahoma City Ladies Music Club members had the annual fall luncheon at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. It is the 104th season.

Program: President Wanda Davidson presided and introduced Donna Miller and Kitty McPherson Kravitz, both past presidents, as 50-year members. Virginia Campbell introduced The Paganini Trio — Joseph Gold, Debbie Dare and Jaume Torrent — who played for the group.
