Wedding shower: Kylee Belflower and John Glaser were honored at a wedding shower in the home of Brenna See. Co-hostesses were Annie Stull, Ashley Stark, Carly Minks, Elizabeth Humble and Jessica Garoutte.
Food/flowers: On the menu were salad, pork sandwiches, mac & cheese, a vegetable tray, fried green beans, ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. Outside, bouquets of flowers were set on bistro tables and outdoor globe lights were hung. Napkins and cups were branded with the couple’s names.
Gifts: Guests brought gift certificates for the engaged couple who live in Corona del Mar, Calif. The wedding is set for Nov. 1 in California. The hostesses gave them wine glasses.

CHEFS IN THE KITCHEN
Event: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club executive chef Mark Brown organized an event featuring visiting country club chefs from Florida and his own culinary team for East Heads West Dinner. Eighty people attended the dinner and wine tasting reception. Proceeds from the dinner went to the staff education fund.
Notables: Preparing a six-course dinner were country club chefs Richard Crisanti, Bonita Springs, Fla.; Brian Lord and Chas Tatitian Naples, Fla.; David Durante, Fort Myers, Fla.; Scott Ross, Hobe South, Fla.; and Toni Gullet, Oklahoma City. They came for a chefs retreat enroute to the American Culinary Federation’s National Conference in Kansas City, Mo.
Menu: Several menu dishes had Florida ties, including crab salad and Florida black grouper, and chef Durante brought his own mangos for his recipes. Other items were crisped pork terrine, Colorado lamb chop and duo of Midwestern beef and pistachio cake. Each chef was assigned a wine representative to pair his or her food creations with suitable wines.
Open house: Pat Rooney, chairman and CEO of the First National Bank of Oklahoma, and Mel Martin, president, were hosts for an open house to celebrate the new Western Avenue location, the headquarters at 5101 N Western, and the 10th anniversary of the bank with the two locations in northwest Oklahoma City. The party was for board members, officers and directors. Kamala Gamble of Kam’s Kookery catered food, and Elizabeth Fairchild performed classical music.

Other activities: Customers and the Western Avenue community were honored with a “Friday festive food truck lunch” from Mutts Amazing Hot Dogs, Big Truck Tacos and Kona Ice. Music was by disc jockey Tim Bradford.
