LOTUS CLUB DANCE
Occasion: Lotus Club members met for the fall dinner dance at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
Next in line: Club President Chuck Ainsworth introduced new members and new officers. New officers are K.T. Meade, president; John McCaleb, vice-president; and Millie Hightower, secretary. New members are James Buxton, Kent Cohenour, Colin FitzSimons, Rob Luke, Tom McDaniel and Carson See.
Ready for fall: Table centerpieces were vases of mauve roses, white hydrangeas and lime green chrysanthemums. On the arrangements committee were Sharon Bozalis, Bette Jo Hill, Susan McPherson and Ron James.
Highlights: The band Smilin' Vic and the Soul Monkeys played for dancing.
Who: Oklahoma City Ballet board members and supporters were invited to a party hosted by Christian Keesee, Glenna and Richard Tanenbaum and Annie Bohanon.
Where: The party was in Chris Keesee's garden.
What: Ballet director John Krasno spoke, as well as Ballet artistic director Robert Mills, who talked about the upcoming ballet season. Robert Ruiz and his Latino Band played while guests met with the ballet cast of dancers.

Party: Carol Troy, Kris Frankfurt and Jamie Gaddis were hostesses for a luncheon honoring Elisabeth Austin who married Robert Howell Sept. 22.
Flowers/menu: Guests enjoyed a shrimp and pasta salad on spinach leaves and a pecan lace cup filled with Grand Marnier mousse topped with berries for dessert. Flowers for the seated luncheon were red tulips and hydrangea blossoms.

NEW ORLEANS STYLE
Event: Jan and Robert Henry were hosts at Oklahoma City University Wilson House for a party following the inaugural performance of the Distinguished Artist Series. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band from the New Orleans French Quarter performed. Among their famous jazz renditions was “When The Saints Go Marching In.” The audience responded by marching around OCU's Kirkpatrick Auditorium and onto the stage.
Menu: Crabcakes, shrimp remoulade, hot star-shaped beignets, fruit skewers and chicken tenders were served to the guests.
Party: Delta Delta Delta members met for the annual bullfrog party in the home of Dr. Jennifer Nelson and Dr. Bob Jarman. It was the first Alumni meeting of the fall season.
Menu: Members served the annual lemon/lime bullfrog drink and food prepared by officers of the group.

Occasion: The Oklahoma City Alumnae Club of Alpha Gamma Delta met Monday for a “Fiesta” meal in the home of President Pam Sullivan Williams to discuss fundraisers and upcoming events.
Special recognition: Dianne Peterson Ogle and Irene Hartwig Megehee received special recognition. Fifty-year members present were also recognized.
40th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Event: The Greens Country Club celebration was held recently in honor the club's 40th anniversary. Among the events were “The Nearly New Newly-wed Game for couples, OU football game watch party and barbecue shown poolside and a 40-cent Sunday Breakfast brunch in appreciation of member support for the last 40 years. There were also family swimming pool events and games.
