PAYSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in eastern Arizona say one person was reportedly injured when a helicopter with six people aboard went down in a wilderness area of the Tonto National Forest on Wednesday.

Lt. Tim Scott of the Gila County Sheriff's Office says the helicopter went down approximately 20 miles west of Payson, a forest community located 70 miles northeast of Phoenix.

Scott says there's no vehicle access to the area and that a state police helicopter is being dispatched to assess the situation and provide assistance.

Further details aren't immediately available.
