The heat index will be near 104 degrees.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Sunny and hot with a high near 100. Heat index values as high as 104. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 75. Southeast wind 7 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 101. South wind 7 to 10 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 74. South, southeast wind 7 to 10 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 95. South wind 7 to 10 mph.
