High school athletes of the week: Alec Warren, Rylee Linhardt

Warren went undefeated in the past week in duals against Norman North, Edmond Santa Fe, Edmond North and Putnam North. Lindhardt won two individual events and broke a school record as No. 1 Edmond North defeated No. 2 Jenks last week in a girls swim meet at Jenks.

Wrestler of the Week

Alec Warren, Edmond Memorial

Warren went undefeated in the past week in duals against Norman North, Edmond Santa Fe, Edmond North and Putnam North. Before the duals, the senior also recorded four wins to capture the 138-pound title in the Geary Invitational.

Last year, Warren finished third in the state tournament at 145 pounds. He reached the state finals both his freshman and sophomore seasons only to lose each match by one point.

Swimmer of the Week

Rylee Linhardt, Edmond North

Linhardt won two individual events and broke a school record as No. 1 Edmond North defeated No. 2 Jenks last week in a girls swim meet at Jenks.

Linhardt, a freshman, won the 500-meter freestyle in a time of 5:12.73. It broke the Edmond North school record of 5:17 set last season by then-freshman Ally Robertson.
