High school athletes of the week: Gunner Laffoon and Ally Robertson

Laffoon was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Chickasha Tournament last weekend, winning the 132-pound title. Robertson, a sophomore, won both the 200-meter individual medley and the 100-meter breast stroke at the Edmond City Championships.

Gunner Laffoon, Tuttle

The senior was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Chickasha Tournament last weekend, winning the 132-pound title. It was second straight tourney where Laffoon was selected as Outstanding Wrestler.

He received the same honor at the Tuttle Tournament. Laffoon is 24-1 on the season, winning 24 straight matches after losing the season opener to Zack Edwards of Broken Arrow, and the defending state 4A champ at 120 pounds.

Swimming

Ally Robertson, Edmond North

Robertson, a sophomore, won both the 200-meter individual medley and the 100-meter breast stroke at the Edmond City Championships. Robertson is the defending state champion in the 200-meter individual medley.
