High school athletes of the week: Moore's Alex Ballard, Edmond North's Andrew Dixon turn in strong performances

Ballard won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5 minutes, 52.19 seconds Thursday in a meet at Jenks that featured the Moore schools. Ballard finished second in two events — the 100 backstroke and 100 individual medley — at last year's state meet. Ballard has qualified for state in eight individual events this year.
