High school athletes of the week: Trevor Moore, Paulie Nguyen among week's stars

Moore, a junior forward and the team's leading scorer, netted the game-winner Tuesday night the Huskies 1-0 victory over Edmond Santa Fe. Nguyen, a sophomore defensive back, played outstanding defense in the Lady Titans' recent two wins.

Boys soccer

Trevor Moore, Edmond North

Moore, a junior forward and the team's leading scorer, netted the game-winner Tuesday night the Huskies 1-0 victory over Edmond Santa Fe. The victory clinched the city championship for Edmond North and more importantly the district title.

Girls soccer

Paulie Nguyen, Carl Albert

Nguyen, a sophomore defensive back, played outstanding defense in the Lady Titans' recent two wins, a 2-0 victory over Guthrie on Tuesday night and a 4-1 decision over Heritage Hall on Friday night.

Boys track

Otugo Ananaba, Deer Creek

Ananaba outdueled several of the state's top sprinters to win the 100 (10.66 seconds) and 200 meters (21.81) at the Yukon Invitational on Friday. He also helped the Antlers to two top-three finishes in relays.

Girls track

Breonna Hall, Millwood

Won three gold medals at the Carl Albert Invitational. In addition to helping the Falcons win the 400-meter relay in 51.22 seconds, Hall won the individual 200 (26.17) and 400 (1:00.93) competing against sprinters from several Class 5A and 6A schools.
