High school athletes of the week: Yukon's Landon Eason, Southmoore's Cassidy Herbster among top performers

Eason was 8 for 19 for the week with a pair of doubles, a triple, two home runs and 13 RBIs as the Millers won the Gladys Winters Tournament in Enid and swept a pair of district games against Lawton Eisenhower.

BASEBALL

Landon Eason, Yukon

Eason was 8 for 19 for the week with a pair of doubles, a triple, two home runs and 13 RBIs as the Millers won the Gladys Winters Tournament in Enid and swept a pair of district games against Lawton Eisenhower.

BOYS GOLF

Alek Cunningham and Brian Dick, Bethel

Cunningham shot 73 to win at Henryetta last week, with Dick finishing second. Then Dick shot 71 to win the Perkins-Tryon Invitational at Cimarron Trails on Friday with Cunningham third.

GIRLS GOLF

Cassidy Herbster, Southmoore

Shot 73 to win Southmoore's Lady SaberCat Pre-Regional at Westwood Golf Club in Norman last week, also helping her team to the title with a 330 total.

BOYS TRACK

Landon Huslig, Deer Creek

Competing against hurdlers from Jenks, Tulsa Union and Lawton, among others, Huslig swept the hurdles at the Broken Arrow Tiger Classic last Friday. He recorded times of 15.15 seconds in the 110 hurdles and 39.41 in the 300.

GIRLS TRACK

Schuyler Wood, Putnam City
