High school baseball: Players to watch at the state baseball tournaments

A look at some of the standouts of this weekend’s Class A and B state baseball tournaments

Tanner Andrews, Asher: Right-hander has signed with Central Oklahoma after getting wins in the state semifinal and championship game in the fall. Was on the mound to beat Dale and Carl Albert this season.

Jesus Gamez, Dover: The Longhorns’ junior has been electric all season, compiling a 5-2 record and 1.27 ERA. He’s also hitting .478 with nine homers and 42 RBIs. Gomez is verbally committed to Seminole State, but also receiving Division I interest.

Austin Green, Binger-Oney: The Seminole State signee pitched all three games in the fall state tournament en route to the championship. He is hitting near .500 with almost 40 stolen bases.

Dalton Reed, Roff: Sophomore third baseman/pitcher has been big on a young squad this season, hitting 18 homers and driving in 54 runs. He and fellow sophomore Mike Anderson (7-1) anchor the team on the mound.

Tucker White, Sterling: White is hitting .439 with five homers and 29 RBIs, while also going 11-5 on the mound with a 0.80 ERA.
