High school basketball: Edmond Memorial loses Jordan Woodard, beats Del City

Perkins, No. 2 in Class 3A, is off to an 11-0 start.

Tuesday's game was its closest of the season.


RichMarr Smith scored four of Putnam City's 10 points in overtime as the Pirates held off Putnam City West 57-52 at home.

Smith entered overtime with just three points but turned it up in the extra period.

The Pirates led by six going into the fourth, but Omega Harris hit a 3-pointer to tie it with 45 seconds left, and neither team scored again in regulation.

David Bush and Ronnie Boyce each scored 19 for Putnam City, with 15 of Boyce's points coming after halftime.

Orlando Goldsmith just missed a triple-double, with 10 blocks, 13 rebounds and eight points.

Harris scored 18 for the Patriots.


Northeast's Shawndale Pina had 17 of his 25 points in the second half as the Vikings boys used a big fourth quarter to down Millwood, 55-50, at home.

The Falcons led 43-37 going into the fourth before Northeast took control, outscoring Millwood 18-7 in the fourth.

Pina had seven points in the fourth and hit all three of his free throws.

Ashford Golden led Millwood with 19 points.

Wild comeback lifts McLoud

With 25 seconds to go, McLoud's boys trailed by four, but a dizzying comeback lifted the Redskins to a 44-43 win over Bethel at home.

Jacob Magruder hit a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left to cut it to one, then 10 seconds later, Joseph Wood's steal kept McLoud's hopes alive.

Magruder missed the initial shot by Michael Byington's short jumper as time wound down gave McLoud the win.

Magruder led the Redskins with 15, 10 in the second half.

Garrett Fitzgerald had 17 to lead Bethel.


Senior guard Maclayn Massey scored 32 points to lead Christian Heritage's girls to a 56-43 win over Luther on the road.

Elizabeth Tracy added 10 for CHA.


Jerrick Warren had 17 and J.T. McFadden 15 in the Guthrie boys' 53-52 win over Noble. ... Larisha Chandler scored 23 and Tyritta Dixon added 17 in the Northwest girls' 55-24 win over U.S. Grant. ... Morgan Vogt had 19, Madison Lee 18 and Madi Grellner 12 in the Okarche girls' 58-38 win over Cashion. The only other player to score for Okarche was Kenadey Grellner, who scored nine. ... Breck Clark scored 25 and Lexes Satterwhite added 15 in the Dale girls' 60-38 win over Wellston. ... Deangelo Smith, Dior Smiley and Trevon Threatt each scored 16 as Douglass' boys beat Star Spencer 90-53. ... Tecumseh's Alan Brewer scored 31 in the Savages' 76-62 win over Ada. Easton Pingleton scored 18 for Ada. ... Okarche's Sam Grellner and John Schaefer scored 12 each in a 51-43 win over Cashion.
