BUZZER-BEATER SENDS NOBLE TO STATE

Jared Palmer made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Noble a 39-36 overtime victory against Coweta, earning the Bears their first state tournament appearance since 1995.

Noble scored in the closing seconds of regulation to tie the game as well.

CARL ALBERT DOWNS PIEDMONT

Jared Price made five 3-pointers to lead Carl Albert back to the state tournament with a 77-72 win over Piedmont.

Price had 19 points, while Malik Barnett and Javeion Gray had 16 apiece. Gray scored 10 of his points in the second half.

Cameron Peters led Piedmont with 20 points and Adrion Williams had 19.

CENTENNIAL, MCGUINNESS ADVANCE

Class 5A Bishop McGuinness and Class 3A Centennial, both defending champions, found their tournament lives at stake Saturday night, but both were able to advance with ease.

McGuinness topped Del City 65-43, while Centennial knocked off Oklahoma Christian 59-37.
