Putnam City North's free throws finally started going through in the third overtime as the Lady Panthers held off Edmond North for a 66-59 win Tuesday night at Edmond North.

Putnam North led by four with a minute remaining, but Edmond North tied it up, helped by Brittney Knight's free throws with 21 seconds left.

Each team struggled from the free-throw line during the first and second overtimes before the Panthers settled down in the third to win.

Putnam North snapped a two-game losing streak with the win.

“After this past weekend, we had kind of a rough skid,” Panthers coach Brett McGee said in a television interview following the game. “This is huge in building that confidence in a young group.”
