“It's hard not to have chemistry when we've worked together as much as we have the past few months,” Case said. “We worked about an hour and a half together just about every day since the summer.”

Jones, who made the Class 2A championship game a season ago before losing to Hennessey, lost the combination of Michael Lowe and Tylor Seabolt to graduation, but Cornwell and Case seem to be filling in quite well.

“They're getting there,” Martin said. “Every game they keep getting better and better.”

Case caught four passes for 82 yards.

In the middle of the second quarter, OCS blocked a 28-yard field-goal try, but Jones' Case scooped it up and dove into the end zone for a touchdown.

“He went and made a great play,” Martin said. “A lot of kids would've just dove on the ball and not tried it but he went after it.”

OCS' combination of Austin Brooks and Blake Barnes was just as damaging as Cornwell and Case.

Barnes caught three touchdown passes from Brooks and finished with nine catches for 174 yards. Brooks threw for 320 yards.

OCS managed just 20 yards rushing though.
