EDMOND — Justice Hansen had a lot on his mind Thursday.

Not only did the four-star quarterback receive his Under Armour All-America Game jersey that morning in an assembly at Edmond Santa Fe. He was also finally making his anticipated season debut after missing last week's opener with a hamstring injury.

It just took an extra 90 minutes for it to happen after a lightning delay.

However, everything was right in Hansen's world when he stepped onto the field at Wantland Stadium.

The Oklahoma commitment threw for 301 yards, rushed for 114 and scored five total touchdowns to lead the fourth-ranked Wolves to a 49-35 victory against Yukon.

Even with the impressive numbers, he expects more.

“I thought I played good in the first half,” Hansen said. “In the second half, I kind of tailed off a bit. I need to pick that up.”

The Wolves (1-1) had a 35-21 lead at the half, but only scoring on two of their eight drives in the second half. Hansen was also just 4 for 12 for 70 yards.

“I thought later on we got a little sloppy in the game,” Edmond Santa Fe coach Lance Manning said. “The thing is we got sloppy offensively. I thought we got tired up front, we weren't run blocking, I thought our receivers dropped too many footballs, and I think there was a couple poor decisions on Justice's part later on.

“I felt like early on in the game we were really, really good offensively. I think we had them reeling. I love the game plan and the decision making and everything involved in the first half.”
