LEWIS LEADS IRISH

No. 4-ranked Bishop McGuinness remained unbeaten, whipping Western Heights 69-0 in a District 5A-2 contest at Pribil Stadium. Jacob Lewis led McGuinness' offense by completing 18 of 29 pass attempts for 257 yards. He helped account for six touchdowns. McGuinness (6-0, 3-0) forced five turnovers on defense; the Irish held the Jets (0-6, 0-3) to minus-1 yard total offense.

Class 3A's No. 4-ranked Seminole had 183 yards and three touchdowns rushing from Trenton Newson in its 40-0 rout of Bethany. ... Joe Neece caught five passes for 213 yards and three TDs as the Cashion junior varsity ripped the winless Maysville varsity, 52-15. Neece also returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown. ...
