High school football roundup: Dupree Young runs for 304 yards, six TDs during Norman victory

The senior running back scored from 24, 25, 19, 60, 51 and 8 yards as the Tigers outlast Choctaw, 49-31.

LEWIS LEADS McGUINNESS

Quarterback Jacob Lewis had three touchdown passes and ran for another as Bishop McGuinness routed winless Western Heights 48-0 in a District 5A-2 game at Jets Stadium. Lewis had a 15-yard scoring pass to Branden Roy and 12-yarders to Carl West and Gray Gochenour. Lewis added a 72-yard run as the Irish (3-3) rolled to a 35-0 lead by intermission. McGuinness' defense forced five turnovers, including three interceptions.

ANTLERS CRUSH GUYMON

Class 5A's No. 5-ranked Deer Creek bussed five hours to Guymon for a district football game — and then returned home in the wee hours of the morning with a 48-0 victory. The Deer Creek (4-2) defense forced three turnovers and held the winless Tigers to 68 total yards. Marcus Coleman and Alec James had two touchdown runs each, and Jackson Smith added a 58-yard punt return. All contributed to the Antlers' 45-0 lead by halftime. Deer Creek has outscored its last two opponents by a combined 118-0.

MEEKER REMAINS UNBEATEN

Dallas Jackson and Kim Whitfield ran for second-half touchdowns, and Meeker blanked visiting Stroud, 13-0. Jackson's 69-yard TD run in the third quarter was all the Bulldogs (6-0) would need, but Whitfield added a 1-yard carry in the fourth quarter for insurance. The Meeker defense did its part, holding the Tigers (4-2) to 158 total yards.

LUTHER RIPS NORTHEAST

Luther had little trouble Friday night, rolling to a 54-14 triumph over Northeast.

The Lions led 46-0 by halftime, getting a touchdown run, touchdown catch and punt return for a TD from Maurice Wright. Luther quarterback Seth Stivers was 7 of 9 for 163 yards and two TDs during the first half. As a defensive back, Stivers had eight tackles in the first half.

ELSEWHERE

R.J. Sink ran for 192 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries as Class 4A's No. 3 Anadarko routed No. 2 Clinton 35-7 at the Tornado Bowl. Sink played despite a sore collarbone. The Anadarko defense held Clinton running back Marquiz Simpkins to 17 yards on nine carries, although Simpkins continued to struggle with a sore ankle he injured Oct. 4 against Elgin. ... Daniel Moniz ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries as Sequoyah-Claremore beat winless Blackwell, 28-7. Moniz added a 32-yard TD pass to Kyle Cuttfinger. ... Micah Kee caught a touchdown pass and ran for two others to key Woodward's 35-0 rout of Elgin. ... Gage Stallworth ran for 192 yards and five touchdowns on 18 carries to power unbeaten Cushing to a 42-0 victory over Henryetta.
