Justice Hansen threw for 367 yards and five touchdowns in the first half, leading No. 5 Edmond Santa Fe past Choctaw 55-14 in District 6A-4. The Wolves were assured of the district title heading into the game and will host Putnam City North in a first-round playoff game Friday.
Hansen was 17 of 23, with eight of those completions to Trevan Smith for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Dale Jefferson also caught two TD passes for Santa Fe (9-1, 7-0 in district). Choctaw finished 1-9 and 1-6.
Cashion 55, Crossings Chr. 21
No. 6 Cashion completed a perfect regular season with a 55-21 victory over Crossings Christian behind the play of quarterback Ty Reasnor, who threw for 246 yards and six touchdowns.
Cashion (10-0, 7-0 in District A-3) had a 49-0 lead at halftime, with Reasnor throwing for six scores and running for the other. Payton Maroney and Joe Neece each had two TD catches. Reasnor completed 13 of 20 passes.
Minco reaches playoffs
Tyler Mitchum threw three touchdown passes and Jacob Overton scored twice as Minco earned a Class A playoff berth by beating Pioneer 41-21. The Bulldogs (6-4, 4-3 in District A-3) won their fourth straight game to finish fourth in the district. Mitchum had TD passes of 14 and 3 yards to Tyler Rose, and a 12-yarder to Overton, who also scored on a 55-yard fumble return.
Pioneer would have gotten a playoff spot with a victory, but instead ends its season 2-8 and 2-4.
Bethany falls to Cushing
Cushing tailback Gage Stallworth ran for 163 yards and five TDs in leading the Tigers past Bethany 40-13. The Tigers (8-2, 5-1 in District 3A-2) will host a first-round playoff game after finishing second in the district behind No. 3 Seminole. Bethany (4-6, 1-5) got a 33-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Duke to Bryton Schmidt and a 7-yard TD run by Cole Pinion.
Miller leads Davenport
No. 6 Davenport secured a playoff berth by beating Gans 48-0 in Class B as Matt Miller accounted for five touchdowns. Davenport (8-2 overall, 7-2 in District B-4) used big plays to take control with a 22-point third quarter. Kevin Thomas started it with a 54-yard TD run, and Miller followed with touchdowns of 22 and 65 yards. Miller also threw two TD passes to Kacey Funk and scored on a 12-yard run.
Cornwell, Noll lead Jones
No. 9 Jones got big nights from David Cornwell and Cody Noll to beat Bridge Creek 42-7 in District 3A-1. Cornwell was 15 of 22 passing for 240 yards and five touchdowns. Noll had just four catches but three were for TDs — on plays of 29, 11 and 11 yards. Randal Casey had a 57-yard touchdown catch for the Longhorns (8-2, 5-1 in district).
Crescent wins in OT
Preston Walker's 2-yard touchdown pass to Ty Heiden in overtime gave Crescent a 41-34 victory over Pawnee. The touchdown throw was Walker's third of the night — he also hit Devon Bledsoe from 30 yards out and Heiden on an 11-yarder. In addition, Walker scored on two short runs for No. 8 Crescent (9-1 overall, 5-1 in District A-3). Pawnee winds up 1-9.
Yellowjackets coast to win
Top-ranked Kingfisher readied for the start of the Class 3A playoffs by beating Marlow 56-13 behind the play of quarterback Grant Newton. Newton scored early on a 65-yard run to set the tone, and added two short TD runs along with touchdown passes of 17 yards to Jake Blair and 48 yards to Keaton Ely.
The Yellowjackets (10-0, 6-0 in District 3A-1) finished the regular season having given up only 39 points.
Chargers get No. 2 spot
Heritage Hall locked up the No. 2 spot in District 3A-3 by beating Star Spencer 17-0 as Connor McGinnis ran for one touchdown and threw for another. After Matthew McLaughlin's 32-yard field goal gave the Chargers a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, McGinnis scored on a 40-yard run and hit Chedon Shockley on a 27-yard scoring pass in the second quarter.
Heritage Hall (7-3 overall, 5-1 in district play) will host a first-round playoff game next week. Star Spencer (5-5, 3-3) plays at Madill after finishing fourth in the district.
Racers eliminate Bethel
Newcastle knocked Bethel out of the playoffs and secured a third-place finish in District 3A-3 by beating the Wildcats 37-12. Casey Freeman threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Racers ended the regular season 4-6 overall, 3-3 in the district. Two of Freeman's touchdowns went for 35 yards, to Stanton Ropp and Brandon Rackscraw.
Bethel winds up 3-7 and 3-3.
Edmond Memorial in playoffs
Edmond Memorial's 61-14 victory over Putnam City West, combined with Lawton's 26-21 loss to Norman, gave the Bulldogs the No. 3 spot in District 6A-4 and a meeting with No. 6 Edmond North in the first round of the playoffs Thursday.
Warren Wand scored three touchdowns and Tyler Holcomb threw two TD passes for Memorial (4-6, 4-3 in district play). Will Scott caught one of the touchdowns, a 48-yarder, and returned a kickoff 75 yards for a score.
