Ground game carries Del City
No. 7 Del City gained 456 yards on the ground, led by Corey Lawrence, and beat Chickasha 30-7 in District 5A-1. Lawrence scored on a 50-yard run in the first quarter, added TDs of 68 and 17 in the third, and completed the scoring with a 19-yard run in the fourth.
The Eagles are now 7-1 overall and lead the district at 5-0. Chickasha is 3-5, 1-4.
Hennessey wins behind Hill
Levi Hill scored four touchdowns in leading No. 6 Hennessey to a 47-0 victory over Newkirk in District 2A-1. Hill had 147 yards on 15 carries and scored on runs of 10, 4, 24 and 17 yards. Dylan Hatchel added two touchdown passes for Hennessey (6-2, 4-0 in district).
Millwood cruises
No. 5 Millwood scored 41 first-quarter points and wound up holding Northeast to minus-18 total yards in a 46-0 victory Thursday night in District 2A-2. London Potts threw three touchdown passes, two of them to Alfonzo McMillan, and Janari Glover scored twice on short runs in the first quarter.
The Falcons are now 7-1 overall, 3-1 in district play. Northeast drops to 1-6 and 0-4.
Blanchard stays unbeaten
Stephan Davis ran for 183 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries, leading No. 5 Blanchard past Mount St. Mary 55-14 in District 3A-1. Brock Lamle threw for a touchdown and ran for a score for the Lions (8-0, 5-0 in district).
Mikee Anthony had seven catches for 123 yards and a touchdown for St. Mary (2-6, 0-4).
Anadarko downs Piedmont
R.J. Sink scored three touchdowns and No. 3 Anadarko remained unbeaten with a 42-3 victory over Piedmont in District 4A-1. Sink had TD runs of 6, 32 and 2 yards. The Warriors (8-0, 5-0 in district) also got a 97-yard interception return by Josh Parton.
