Here are some metro-area golfers to watch during the state tournaments on Wednesday and Thursday:

Emily Folsom, Deer Creek: One of two returning starters from last year’s 5A title team, Folsom hopes to be in the mix individually as well.

Kaitlin Milligan, Norman North: The freshman is coming off a regional victory and hoping to contend in 6A.

Ashton Nemecek and Hunter Gowens, Purcell: Nemecek has three wins in her last four tournaments, including a 3A regional qualifier, and Gowens hasn’t been far behind.

Alexis Sadeghy, McGuinness: Now a senior, Sadeghy has not finished worse than third at state in her career. But this is her first year in 6A, offering a new challenge.
