Here are a few metro-area boys golfers to watch at the state tournaments Monday and Tuesday:

Trent Evans, Edmond Memorial: The Kansas State signee has stayed under the radar much of his career, but popped up with a big regional win last week.

Nick Heinen, Edmond North: In pursuit of their 10th Class 6A title, the Huskies have multiple players who could contend for the title. Bound for OSU, Heinen was in a playoff for the championship last year.

Drew Ison, Edmond Santa Fe: The Drake signee has three wins in his last four tournaments.

Garrett McDaniel, Shawnee: Daniel Langley and Morgan Pettigrew have the talent to be in the mix as well, but McDaniel is coming off a 5A regional title as the Wolves look to wrap up the team championship.

Tripp Harris, Heritage Hall: Runner up at a 4A regional last week, but Heritage Hall has a lineup full of talented, young players.

Trey Hoehner, OCS: A third-place finish at the 3A regional for the Saints, who always seem to be in contention.
