Here are a few other metro-area boys and girls golfers to watch this season:

Boys

•Edmond North boys: Pick one. Any of the Huskies’ top five players can win a tournament, and they’re looking for their 10th consecutive 6A team title.

Thomas Johnson, Jr., Norman North: Already committed to OU, Johnson is on the way to a stellar career.

Zac Schaefer, Sr., OCS: Last year’s 3A runner-up is back for the always dangerous Saints.

Cody Troutman, Sr., Edmond Santa Fe: The UCO signee is off to a strong start, including a tie for third in a stacked field at Norman earlier this week.

Girls

Brinn Fariss, Jr., Edmond Santa Fe: Burst onto the scene as a regional champ last year.

Emily Folsom, Sr., Deer Creek: The Southwestern signee is the top player returning from last year’s Class 5A state championship team.

Alexis Sadeghy, Sr., McGuinness: Has finished third or better at state each of the last three years, and is prepped to go out with a bang.
