The Bronco Cup is one of the most fan friendly soccer tournaments in the state because of the ease in watching both boys and girls games.

The 16-team tournament is played on both the artificial turf football field and the grass soccer field at Mustang High School, which are less than a quarter-mile apart.

Games are being played simultaneously but fans only have to walk across the football stadium's parking lot to reach the soccer field.

At other large high school tournaments, like the Stillwater Cup, which begins Friday, games are scattered throughout the city.

The Stillwater Cup will be played at Oklahoma State University's soccer complex, the high school football stadium and the junior high school stadium.

Mike Mason, Mustang girls' soccer coach, said college recruiters like attending the Bronco Cup because “it's really easy for them to watch all kinds of athletes at the same time.”

Action in the Bronco Cup began Thursday and continues Friday with games from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. The tournament concludes Saturday.

Soccer tournaments are also being held Friday at Southmoore High School and Midwest City.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS AT HERITAGE HALL

The 16th annual Heritage Hall Tournament of Championships begins Friday at the school's Betsy Braver Family Tennis Center.

Matches also will be played at Casady High School tennis courts. The tournament will feature top teams based on past state tournament results in all classes.
