High school notebook: Douglass' Deondre Clark gets offer from Clemson
Tigers have also offered Broken Arrow running back Devon Thomas, who is committed to Oklahoma State.
Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables is shopping in his old backyard, extending a scholarship offer to Douglass junior defensive end Deondre Clark on Saturday, according to Trojans coach Willis Alexander.

Venables, a longtime assistant on Bob Stoops' Oklahoma staff, just completed his first season at Clemson, which was 11-2 and defeated LSU in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Clark, 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, set a school record with 22 sacks, while adding 99 tackles and 20 quarterback hurries to vault himself up the list of the state's most sought-after junior prospects. His offer list now includes OU, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, LSU and several others.
Clark is the second Oklahoma player in the 2014 class to be offered by Clemson, along with Broken Arrow running back Devon Thomas, who is committed to Oklahoma State.
TAYLOR, BOYD EARN ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
Tulsa East Central wide receiver/defensive back Stanvon Taylor was named to the MaxPreps All-American team.
Taylor, an Oklahoma commit, earned the honors at defensive back. He had 34 tackles and four interceptions on defense, though most teams avoided going his way. On offense, Taylor had 61 catches for 1,035 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for two more touchdowns.
Taylor was The Oklahoman‘s All-State Defensive Player of the Year this season and played in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl earlier this month.
He helped his team to the Class 5A championship game before falling to Carl Albert.
Vian offensive lineman Rob Boyd was named to the MaxPreps Small Schools All-American team.
Boyd (6-foot-4, 285 pounds) is committed to Tulsa.
Boyd was a dominant force on the Vian offensive line that helped the Wolverines become the second highest-scoring offense in state history. Boyd was an Oklahoman first-team All-Stater this season and also played in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.
