High school notebook: Douglass' Stephen Clark scores 50 points against John Marshall

A few hours after announcing his letter of intent signing with Oklahoma State, Stephen Clark scored 50 points in a 93-57 win over John Marshall, adding seven assists, five rebounds, three steals and only two turnovers.

GIGGER CARRIES MOORE

Moore's boys basketball team is handling a tough opening schedule well.

The Lions opened with games against a couple of Class 6A and 5A favorites in Edmond Memorial and Del City. After the loss to Memorial, Moore bounced back for a 63-43 win over 5A No. 1 Del City Friday night.

Dorian Gigger had 17 points and 19 rebounds in the victory.

PC PULLS UPSET

Putnam City pulled the biggest surprise so far in girls basketball, taking down No. 1 Edmond Santa Fe 59-58 Friday.

PC's Jayden Oliver had 18 points, Jamee Moore had 17 and Lashabra Plunkett had 13 in the win.
